Silver sugar bowl, Chauchefoin et Cie, 1859-1865, France

Silver sugar bowl, richly decorated with floral and plant motifs, with decorative handles and legs. The lid topped with a branch with leaves and fruit. Very good condition. Minerva hallmark with No. 1 (silver, 950) on the inside of the lid. Master goldsmith’s hallmark on the bottom (Chauchefoin et C-ie). Monogram DU (?) on the front. France.

Very good condition, traces of chalk for cleaning.
